Hubbell Power Systems is a components manufacturer rather than a transformer builder. They make the connectors, loadbreak elbows, bushings, insulators, arresters and enclosures that go on and around distribution equipment. Their parts are on a great many pad mounted transformers, including units we quote, but the transformer itself comes from someone else. If you are looking for a Hubbell pad mounted transformer, what you almost certainly have is another manufacturer's tank fitted with Hubbell accessories.
How they sell
Large multinational. Distribution class pad-mounts are a small part of a much bigger portfolio.
Getting a small commercial pad-mount quoted by a multinational is difficult, and their channel is built around distributors and rep firms rather than direct sale. That is not obstruction, it is just how the channel is arranged.
Where they fit on a job
US origin makes this a candidate for federal and Buy American work, where TAA eligibility is a hard gate rather than a preference.
