Who you are dealing with

Ralph Hertz owns the business and handles purchasing and quoting personally. There is no switchboard and no account manager rota. If you send a quote request or call 786 220 2801, you are speaking to the person who decides.

What we do

• We stock and we ship direct. Fast moving ratings are held, and anything else ships to the job site. Which route we use depends on the date and the price.
• We sell commercial and light industrial. Electrical contractors, developers and consulting engineers, rather than utilities.
• 45 to 2500 kVA. Three phase, dead front, loop feed, 12470 GY/7200 and 13200 GY/7620 primary, 480Y/277 and 208Y/120 secondary.
• We are a distributor, not a manufacturer. We hold no exclusive with any brand, which is why we can tell you when the right answer is somebody else.

How we buy

We add manufacturers continuously to improve price and lead time, and we assess them on UL listing, build quality, lead time from purchase order and what they hold in stock. Our working directory covers 172 UL listed manufacturers across 24 countries, published openly at our manufacturer directory and our data page.

If you build pad mounted transformers to ANSI/IEEE C57.12.34 and want to be considered, send your UL file number, your catalogue and your pricing at 1, 5, 10, 25 and 50 units to the number above or through the quote form.

What we publish

Everything on this site is free to use and free to cite. The UL listing dataset, the wiring diagrams, the sizing calculators and the technical guides exist because the information is hard to find and badly presented elsewhere. No registration, no gated downloads.
